A Day of Learning and Collaboration at the AFDI Fire Door Event

We were thrilled to host the AFDI Fire Door Day at Cambridge Fire Research, organised by Ian Cavanagh TIFireE MIFSM MAFDI from Independent Fire Safety Services Ltd and Neil Ashdown from Fire Doors Complete Ltd.

The event brought together professionals from across the fire safety and passive fire protection sectors for a day of hands-on learning, live demonstrations, and meaningful industry discussions. Attendees had the unique opportunity to witness live fire door testing, gain practical insights, and strengthen collaboration across the sector.

The energy throughout the day was incredible — from the technical presentations to the lively conversations that followed. It was inspiring to see so much enthusiasm for learning and innovation in fire safety.
